How To Find Cheap Airline Tickets

by Morten Elm

Finding a cheap airlines ticket is a matter of two things: planning and flexibility. Combining those two elements can save you a lot of money.

Flexibility can save you a lot of money, when it comes to finding cheap air tickets. If you do not have to travel on a specific date, you can save a lot of money going in the low season instead of the high season. And you will not only save money on the air ticket. Also accommodation, food, sightseeing will often be cheaper.

In is also not unimportant which day of the week you travel. If you are going to a typical business destination (like Brussels), where all business people goes to on the weekdays, it is cheaper to travel in the weekend. And if you are visiting a holiday destination, you can save a lot of money by traveling there on a weekday.

Some place are notorious expensive to fly to; no matter which day or month you choose. If that is the case, you can ask yourself, if you can find the same attractions somewhere else.

Sometime you can find last minute offers on airline tickets. But in most cases it is best to plan ahead. An investigation has shown that the best time to book your ticket is four weeks ahead. This gives to lowest price with the highest flexibility.

The easiest way to find cheap air tickets is on the Internet. Enter your preferred dates and location in one of the many effective airline ticket search engines. Do also try to vary the dates a little (e.g. from weekdays to the weekends) to find the lowest price.

When you have found the dates (and location) with the best price, try to do the same search in another ticket search engine. You can also try to do the same on the airline's own website. Trying different websites can give you a better price.

So remember when looking for cheap airline tickets to be flexible. Go on the best day and try to travel in the low season instead of the high season. And stay away from the most expensive locations.

And remember to do some planning beforehand using your favorite airline ticket search engines.

by Joseph Archibald

Perhentian Islands: You could argue that when Leonardo Di Caprio chose to shoot his movie "The Beach" in Thailand, he was not familiar with the stunning Perhentian Islands! Just off the east coast of Malaysia in North East Terengganu are two islands which are known as Perhentian Islands. They are a massive hit with tourists now due to their silver sandy beaches and their crystal clear blue waters. Perhentian Islands is arguably one of the most beautiful places on this earth.

Redang Island: Not far from Perhentian Islands is that of Redang. In total it comprises nine smaller islands. Among the east coast islands this is the largest and arguably the most developed too. Designated as a marine park it's a fantastic place for divers and snorkelers to enjoy the collection of coral reefs and various marine life.

Langkawi Island: If you have heard about Malaysia as a tourist then you will also have heard about Langkawi. Among them, two islands predominate in terms of accessibility, infrastructure and development - the largest island, Pangkor and her sister Pangkor Laut. Upon the island of Pangkor Laut is the Pangkor Laut Resort which is renowned as one of the best hotels in Malaysia, if not the world. It has won a number of awards over the past decade and for this alone the islands are well worth a visit!

Sipadan Island: Rated as one of the top five diving spots in the world, Sipadan Island is situated just off the coast of Sabah, Borneo - Malaysia's eastern island, and previously known as North Borneo. The island did have a reputation as being a hunting ground for pirates but now its known not for its piracy but for its wonderful and luxurious beauty.

US Virgin Islands are America's Paradise Diving

by Simon N James

Located among 50 islands with the US Virgin Islands are the three islands of St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix where some of the best diving in the region can be found. Accessing these islands is simple with flights from many major US airports daily.

St. Thomas

Typically the dive centres will take you to a dive site located at the waters of Pillsbury Sound between St. Thomas and St. John to dive the various shipwrecks encrusted with bright sponges and coral. One nice example is the General Rogers what is a 120-foot US Coast Guard buoy which was sunk to form a reef which sits upright in around 60 feet of water. The reef as grown on the buoy and has created an Orange cup coral and others with abundance of fishes such as angelfish and grunts.

Named the best diving in the Virgin Islands, Sail Rock reaches up 125 feet in the air off the West End of St Thomas and is teeming with jacks, wrasse, barracuda and turtles.

St. John

Congo Cay and Carval Rock are located between the islands St. John and St. Thomas and are two popular diving sites and is home to many turtles swarming silversides, cruising reef sharks, and waving sea rods and gorgonians. The swim-through is a must do which tower is between two towering rock faces is covered with vibrant marine life.

Congo Cay's is an opposite dive to Carval Rock with a drift dive though some amazing weathered; the dive site has its own resident sting rays creating a lovely dive. Both dive sites can be done from a basic level but if the weather is bad only experienced divers can dive.

Island of St. Croix

North side of St. Croix is one of the best wall dives in the Caribbean, the wall starts only 100 yards of the beach line and drops to several thousand feet, there are around 20 dive sites located along the wall with varying natures features such as pinnacles, ledges, walls and caverns.

Touring The Hebrides Isles And The Worthy Places To See On The Isle of Harris

by Phil Marks

Staying on the beach for most of my summer vacation isn't my idea of the perfect vacation. Please don't misunderstand me, I really do enjoy relaxing on a sandy beach, but, I also like to spend time visiting other places while on vacation. I thoroughly enjoy taking in the atmosphere, I also like to experience the local culture and especially enjoy sampling the food. To be honest each year I enjoy visiting new places and I try extremely hard trying to find somewhere or something totally unique. This is the most probable reason why I so thoroughly enjoy visiting the island in the Hebrides known as the Isle of Harris and why I regularly choose to hire Harris self catering cottages.

The Isle of Harris is a tiny island situated off the Scottish west coast. Harris is one of 100's of small islands frequently referred to as the Outer Hebrides, although to be strictly correct the UK postal address is the Western Isles. Accepted as either/or the Western Isles or the Outer Hebrides the islands are beautiful in the extreme and interestingly unique. For tourists who enjoy visiting a beach with golden sands Harris has plenty to choose from and virtually all are wonderful and nearly always deserted. It would seem as though beyond turn in the road you are greeted with a truly awesome sight. The roads on the Isle of Harris are not the same as elsewhere in the United Kingdom single track roads are very common and you will will be required to use passing places to safely allow oncoming traffic to pass but also to let traffic from behind to pass. All you really need to do is come to a stop on the left. If the vehicle wishing to get past you is very large and the passing place
is to the right hand side of the road you may move over into it to let the large vehicle pass more easily but at all time take care not to end up off the road too much.

One of the primary reasons folk visit the Isle of Harris is to enjoy the the culture and landscape of the islands. The Isle of Harris culture has, throughout history been incredibly influenced by the Scottish, English, Norse and Celtic races. Nowadays the majority of folk speak in the Gaelic language and although many talk in English, it is commonly their second language. The Harris people are amongst the friendliest in the world and their hospitality is well known across the globe. The Isle of Harris folk are extremely proud of the immensely beautiful Harris countryside and go to great lengths to keep the place tidy and clean so it is vitally important not to leave any litter behind.

Dotted all along the south west coast of the Isle of Harris you will find some of the most stunningly beautiful golden sandy beaches in all of Scotland, and many folk say the U.K. The waters are extremely clear and it is a fact that the beaches on the Isle of Harris are incredibly clean. Alarmingly there is no way to avoid debris washing up from ships in the Atlantic but surprisingly there is little.

Traveling to The Sunshine Coast of Australia

by Zane Archer

Australia's Sunshine Coast is a little nicer than the Gold Coast. It's gorgeous beaches stretch for more than 100 kilometers. Starting at Calondra, on down to Cooloola, you will find the Fraser Islands and the Glass House Mountains. Mary Valley and Noosa Hinterland are here, as well. There are plenty of things to do, catering to all ages.

Among the many activities to enjoy, are rainforest walks, golfing, and spas. There are lots of things to enjoy doing outdoors, canoeing, fishing, surfing and swimming. The Sunshine Coast has the offering of the country as well as the coast. It is an ideal choice for a little rest and relaxation.

A main attraction not to miss is the Australia Zoo in Beerwah. Steve Irwin pioneered the zoo and made great contributions. His family is still seen often around the zoo. There is lots to do for kids, here, and the variety of animals is tremendous.

The Big Pineapple in Woombye is a great place to visit, as well. It is a working plantation of over 80 hectares that grows pineapple. They have a wildlife reserve you can tour, as well. You can pan for gold, as well. Take a trip on the Valley Rattler in Mary Valley. It is a steam train that rides along a very pretty view, leaving from Gympie station. At Underwater World you can dive with sharks and swim with seals.

With the surf, hinterland and the sun, its no surprise that the Sunshine Coast also offers outstanding food, always fresh and often organic .The local cuisine makes the most of the local produce and you can literally taste your way around the most natural settings in the world.
